Music Hands & Monkey Business
These are parent-child activities. For Music Hands, children will learn a different tapping technique on their parents for each day of the week, that will be practiced with song. This activity, based on a Japanese tradition, is a practical and hands on method to cultivate empathy, kindness and humility in children. Music Hands is also a great family bonding exercise. Then with Monkey Business, children and parents will also learn 5 monkey mimicking exercises, each with a different laugh, that include jumping and rolling on the ground. Laughter, which causes the release of natural hormones, such as endorphins and oxytocin, help children and adults relax, feel happy and create positive relationships with those around them.
Yoga mat or towel needed for one activity. Students must pre-register online for the series.
