DoAnn’s Meditation & Breathing Classes

Dr. Kaneko is back again teaching community classes in Santa Monica! It has been a few years since the Shiatsu Massage School of CA sadly closed but now he is partnering with the City of Santa Monica to teach one of 2 classes.

In this 8 week series, students will learn 6 meditation techniques from the very basic to the advanced. Dr. Kaneko’s meditation style is based on a traditional Taoist style that he customized for an easier and more practical approach. It involves lying on the back or sitting, and even some standing or walking. He teaches the concept of the Qi and Blood moving into the cellular level through the meridians and channels, with the help of powerful abdominal breathing. Students will be able to apply this method for stress management, anti-aging, and relaxation.

Yoga mat, or something to comfortably sit or lie on required. Students must pre-register by phone or online for the series.

Winter Class registration will open Wednesday, November 6, for Santa Monica residents, and November 13 for non-residents.  The first week of registration, November 6 – November 12, will be available online only at https://tinyurl.com/y6xdabnm. You may also call the City of SM Community Classes center at 310-458-2239 to register.
